- The Talos F200C install is complete, and additional software for tomography dataset collection is being installed. In addition, Marisa Otegui’s team received a grant through the Core Revitalization Program and with those funds, the Newcomb Imaging Center (Botany Department) will acquire two pieces of equipment used for sample preparation in high-resolution scanning electron microscopy imaging: a critical point dryer and a sputter coater. This project represents an upgrade for campus-wide biological sample preparation capabilities for scanning electron microscopy imaging.
- Congratulations to Raunak Sinha for an outstanding score on a recent grant application and to Bob Pearce for a new R01 award!
- The serial block face scanning electron microscope has been installed in WIMR II!
- The Optical Imaging Core, whose faculty director is Jon Audhya, has recently installed both a Mizar light sheet system and a Lattice Light Sheet instrument! (Lattice Light Sheet pictured below)
